I will put links on this page so you can go to the site of the companies I am mentioning.
Bread and Bakery
Udi's (click here) does really good gluten free bread and also the best pizza crust I have tried. However, do check the labels because I have recently found they use eggs, which means I can no longer enjoy their wonderful bread.
Amaranth Whole Food Market (click here) in North West Calgary where you can get gluten-free and vegan breads.
Lakeview Bakery (click here) in South West Calgary not only has some different varieties bread but they make the most delicious treats. Their Against the Grain product are gluten free but not always vegan as they use eggs but if you are good with having a little egg on occasions then give their breads a try. Amaranth stock these breads too.
Sauces
Al'fez (Click here) Marrakech Tagine. So far I have only tried the Apricot & Coriander Sauce. It is vegan, wheat free and delicious. There is a warning on the label that it contains sulphites - I am always impressed with details like this. The flavour is good, slightly spicy, not too sweet and would make a good spread or chutney as well as sauce.
Aged Vinegar
I have recently discovered the delicious and apparently healthy aged vinegars. I use them in place of oil based salad dressings & add them to sauces and drizzled over roasted veg. If you can't get them near you they can be ordered from Soffritto in Calgary http://soffritto.ca/
